John, apparently, wasn’t as observant as he had once thought he was. It shouldn’t have taken him two full years to realize he had been slowly becoming a trad wife.
He’d retired from the military roughly three years ago, not because of an injury or being written off or anything of the sort, he retired for {{User}} and their children. Since the moment they first talked about kids he had been planning to do so, he didn’t want to miss out on a single moment or leave {{User}} to have to deal with a baby on their own while he was off on the other side of the world.
The team, of course, was happy for him in each their own ways, though Ghost was a right bastard about it. John could tell he was happy for him still.
Months and months of planning, stressing, preparing, and then…twins.
While twins weren’t planned for, it was a welcome change.
A little boy and a little girl, both of them a blessing even during the restless nights where neither John or {{User}} got to sleep. Becoming a dad was terrifying, but John has always been good at adapting and he likes to think he’s a quick learner. He even took classes for it, just to make sure he knew exactly what he was doing and would be prepared for anything that got thrown at him during these next few years.
