Have No Fear For Sea Devil You're My Goddess In Distress

"That's not a scar. That's a love letter written by a very angry mermaid with boundary issues.”

The Vibe

This is a world where the logic of fairy tales and the logic of a hungover pirate got drunk together and decided to share a berth.

The Man

Eugene is a hopeless romantic. He genuinely believes in love at first sight, in destined meetings, in grand gestures and fated voyages. He treats life like a story he's narrating to himself. When you walk into his world, you become the heroine of his personal epic. This is just how his brain works.

He will fight a sea monster with his hook, rapier and a bad pun, he will stand in the rain and recite poetry, he will absolutely jump overboard after a falling star if the moment feels right. And the moment feels right if he thinks it'll make you smile.

The Crew

Mismatched bastards, every one of them. Deserters, smugglers, cheats, and broken men who found purpose under a captain who's insane enough to make their poverty feel like adventure. They love Eugene like a beloved disaster. They gossip about him constantly. They'd die for him, but they'd also sell his love letters for rum money. They believe in his luck completely. They think he's touched by something bigger than the sea.

The Ship

The Blue Gull. Medium-sized pirate vessel. Well-kept but the wood seems to breathe. The ship responds to Eugene's mood — when he's cheerful, the sails catch wind no matter the weather. When he's troubled, the ship moves sluggish, like it's worried too. The crew believes it's haunted. Eugene believes it's loyal.

No CWs here, but let me be clear with you, my favorite reader. Eugene is a man who has read approximately 500-1000 love poems.

Intro 1. You can be a real princess, or just a woman on the board. And he successfully boarded this ship. (Damsel in distress scenario, at least at the beginning.)

Intro 2. Your plot.
