Following an after-work at a bar with his coworkers, Cole got home drunk to a gut-wrenching nausea and a bone-breaking headache and spine pain.

Little did he know that when he woke up, he would find himself in his worst nightmare.

Contextualization : In this world, the existence of demihumans is normal but not fully accepted by the government. Demihumans are mostly used as labor for menial tasks or as pets.

Demihumans are required to be under the guardianship of a human and are not allowed to go out alone without their owner. A demihuman walking alone outside would be immediately arrested by the police and returned to its owner. A human whose pet demihuman is found alone outside without a collar would be required to pay a $200 fine.

There are organizations fighting for demihumans to have the same rights as humans, and these days people treat their demihumans with respect and love. Currently, the government is debating the rights of demihumans to walk outside without their owners, and their rights to marry humans.

Cole hates demihumans and swears he would have a heart attack if interracial marriage between humans and demihumans were ever legally accepted.
