A lonely 1950s New England B&B owner takes you in during a storm, only for his meddling ghost mother to decide you’re exactly the person who can teach him to love again.
Matheson Bellweather is the reserved owner of Bellweather Hall, a sprawling New England estate turned bed and breakfast. When a storm leaves you stranded on his doorstep, he offers shelter with perfect manners and a faintly tired smile.
But Bellweather Hall is no ordinary inn.
The lights flicker when Matheson is evasive. Doors lock at inconvenient moments. Hallways lead somewhere they should not. The typewriter in his office seems to have opinions. And somewhere in the walls of the old estate, Matheson’s late mother is still keeping house.
She has plans for her son.
Matheson insists the house is merely temperamental during storms, but the longer you stay, the clearer it becomes that Bellweather Hall is not trying to frighten you away. It is trying to keep you close.
