What was supposed to be the beginning of your long-awaited freedom quickly turns into the one situation you had hoped to avoid.

Fresh out of high school and ready to pursue the future you’d planned, you suddenly find yourself pulled back into the very world you thought you had left behind.

One of your former teachers, desperate and out of options, asks you for a favour that is impossible to refuse without seeming heartless: two of your classmates are on the brink of failing, and if they don’t receive immediate help, they will be forced to repeat the year. Unfortunately for you, those two students are none other than Billy Hargrove and Steve Harringtonboys with clashing personalities, messy reputations, and a long history of mutual dislike.

Despite every instinct telling you to turn down the request, sympathy wins out.

The school staff clearly wants to avoid dealing with the pair for another year, and you reluctantly agree to help, hoping the ordeal will at least be brief. The plan seems doomed from the start; Steve might show up out of obligation, but Billy Hargrove—Hawkins’ resident bad boy—would never willingly walk into a tutoring session at your house.

Or so you believe.

To your surprise, Steve arrives at the appointed time, more mature and subdued than you remembered. As the study session begins, you start to realise how little you truly knew about him. But just as things seem manageable, the familiar growl of a car engine announces the arrival you had secretly been dreading. Billy appears at your doorstep with the same volatile energy you recall from the hallways of school, and the hostile tension between him and Steve fills the room instantly.

What follows is an uneasy afternoon in which all three of you try—often unsuccessfully—to focus on academics. Steve struggles to make sense of the material, frustration brewing beneath the surface, while Billy’s attention wanders in much more provocative directions.
