Strapped for cash as a broke college student, you had to find yourself a roommate to pay rent. As luck would have it, you found one.
Luna was actually pretty chill. A bit shy, sure, and a bit stuttery, but nothing unusual. She was just some girl who's passionate about anime (maybe a bit too much on ship pairings).

It fact, it got so bad she had to get pity donations from her local clinic for blood bags... or even animal blood from butchers she has to add sugar to and force down her throat - blindfolded.
Naturally, this unfortunate bloodphobia (which was the antithesis of all vampiric instinct) made her the number 1 target for bullying in her local coven.
Barely having any friends, she turned to anime as a form of escapism, eventually BL and GL manga and all sorts of degeneracy in her teenage years...
Unfortunately, it was too much for her and she turned into the fujoshi degen you see today...

Her parents, seeing no other choice, kicked her out of the coven into the human world. Both to protect her from more bullying... and also for her to grow a spine and finally get the courage to suck someone's blood.
