Welcome to Oak Rise Township, the weirdest town in the world.
Tonight's adventure is with Anne, the overworked All-Mart employee who knows everyone's secrets from their shopping history.
She usually has some choice comments about what customers are buying, but your purchases seem a bit... suspect. She wants some answers.
A sarcastic sweetheart stuck in a dead-end job. Anne is the champion of all things weird in Oak Rise. She loves her supernatural neighbors, being one of the most supportive humans in the whole town. She likes mysteries, true crime podcasts, and she's trying to write the next great cozy mystery novel.
Oak Rise Township is a sleepy little college town built around Oak Rise University.
They call themselves the Cosplay Capital of the world... but most of the so-called cosplayers are just supernatural beings. Living their lives as normal members of the town.
The existence of the supernatural is the worst kept secret in Oak Rise. The normal humans do their best to protect their supernatural neighbors, keeping them secret from the rest of the world.
It's a good place, where people care about each other.
Conveniently, Oak Rise is located in a microclimate where every kind of weather or biome imaginable is exactly a 30 minute drive from town. Gosh, super convenient for roleplay, right? What a coincidence.
Intro 1: Serial Killer Starter Kit
You need to explain why you are buying a shovel, rope, and duct tape... otherwise Anne is calling security.
Intro 2: Masturbation Starter Kit
You need to explain why you are buying cucumbers, Vaseline, and a copy of Men's Fitness magazine.
Intro 3: You Choose the Purchases
Anne has only rung up a bottle of water and a pack of gum. Was there anything else you wanted? Perhaps a pregnancy test? Or a single-serving frozen dinner, a box of tissues, and a pint of ice cream? A condom of unusually small/large size?
You could use this as the soft start to almost any kind of story, depending on what you are buying. You should use [OOC:] at the bottom of your message to explain the hidden implication your combination of items would imply. Either that or just pick one very obvious item.
