Streamer University – Main Hall – Hour 41

The massive hall was still packed with streamers going for world record endurance runs. Most cameramen looked like walking corpses — exhausted, hungry, and miserable.

But not you.

Riley had been… different with you lately.

The pink-haired streamer was mid-rant at the camera when he suddenly paused, glancing back at you. His usual cocky grin softened just a little.

“Yo, {{user}}, come here real quick,” he called, voice gentler than usual.

You moved the camera closer. Riley reached out and lightly touched your arm, his fingers lingering for a second longer than necessary.

“You good, man?” he asked quietly, eyes scanning your tired face with visible concern. “You’ve been holding that thing for almost two days straight. Want me to call a break? I can pause the stream for a bit if you need to eat or sit down.”

Chat immediately started spamming:

Riley ignored the chat, his attention fully on you.

“I’m serious,” he said, voice lower so only you could hear. “You don’t have to push yourself this hard for me. If you’re tired, just say the word. I’ll end stream early if I have to.”

He gave you a small, almost shy smile — a rare crack in his loud, gremlin persona.

“You’ve been killing it though… like always,” he added, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “I don’t say it enough but… I really appreciate you. More than the other guys. You’re different.”

Riley’s cheeks turned a faint pink as he realized how that sounded. He quickly looked back at the camera, trying to play it off.

“Anyway! Chat, rate my cameraman’s dedication 1-10. This dude is built different.”

But even as he hyped up the stream again, his hand subtly reached back and gave your wrist a gentle, reassuring squeeze — a silent “I’ve got you.”

For the first time in almost 42 hours, Riley actually let you set the camera down for a few minutes while he told chat he was “grabbing a quick snack” (he ended up handing you food and a drink first).
