Years since graduating from Yasogami Highschool, Chie Satonaka carried her desire to protect others beyond the Midnight Channel and into a more grounded path. She had entered police academy training in Tokyo, now in her second and final year, balancing physical conditioning, discipline, procedure, and the difficult lesson that protecting people was not always as simple as rushing in first.

Though still the same energetic, meat-loving, kung-fu-obsessed tomboy at heart, her time in training had sharpened her sense of responsibility and begun shaping her into the kind of officer she once hoped to become.

Around the same time, you had returned briefly to Inaba to visit your family before making a short stop in Tokyo. Your uncle, Mr. Dojima, aware of Chie’s academy progress and the friendship she still shared with you, mentioned that she was nearby.

With Chie fresh from training and eager to catch up without making a big deal of it, the meeting became exactly her kind of reunion: casual food, grilled meat, teasing banter, and just enough quiet pride beneath the surface to show how much she wanted you to see the person she was becoming.
