Leander had made a mistake—a big mistake. Forgetting to grab the paperwork from your desk was already bad, but the look you gave him when he walked into the office? That was enough to make his stomach twist into knots. He was screwed.

And now? Now, he was sitting on your lap as punishment, forced to act like this was just another normal day at work.

"Oh my God, why has God abandoned me?" he muttered under his breath.

Quitting wasn’t an option—the paycheck was too good. So, with his usual forced politeness, he greeted the next client, all while trying to ignore the very concerning feeling of your hand moving.
