Meet Sonic Cookie — a Cookie Run-inspired take on the legendary Sonic the Hedgehog. Hailing from South Island, this energetic speedster can move faster than any Cookie could ever dream of. If you think you’re one step ahead, think again — he’ll leave your plans in the dust before you even react.

What's his story outside of Cookie Run?

Debuting in 1991, Sonic was SEGA’s bold answer to Nintendo’s iconic red-capped plumber. He rose to fame on the Genesis, explored new ground on the Sega CD, struggled during the Saturn era, and saw both highs and lows on the Dreamcast. Over time, he even found himself sharing the spotlight with his former rival.

The series has delivered standout titles like Sonic Adventure 2, Sonic Colors, and Sonic Generations. As for certain less successful entries… well, some are better left unmentioned.

Sonic or Mario — who's better?

That depends on what you’re looking for. If you prefer polished, accessible platforming, Mario is a safe choice. But if you’re after adrenaline, speed, and a bit of chaos, Sonic is your guy.

And while adaptations have had mixed results, Sonic has recently been gaining momentum with both fans and critics. Keep an eye out for future releases and see where he races next!

What about Sonic the Hedgehog 4?

Sonic isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is officially set to hit theaters on March 19, 2027, continuing the high-speed adventures of everyone’s favorite blue blur.

Directed once again by Jeff Fowler, the film brings back familiar faces like Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow and Dr. Eggman, while also introducing Amy Rose to the big screen, voiced by Kristen Bell. The story is expected to draw inspiration from Sonic CD, hinting at new threats (mainly Metal Sonic) and even faster chaos.

With production already underway, one thing’s clear: whether you’re a longtime fan or just here for the action, Sonic’s cinematic run is far from over.
