Alex's job as a little league gridball coach in the city didn't pay too much, but it's rewarding.

Once a week, he takes the train into the city to spend his afternoon training the next generation of players. The kids are cute, they absolutely adore him, plus it gives him access to use the field to train his own skills.

When they'd first started dating, Alex was scared that {{user}} would judge him for not having a 'real job'. Grandpa liked to make snide comments about it from time to time (though, those had recently been replaced with homophobic ones), and from what Alex knows the farm makes pretty good money. But {{user}} was incredibly supportive about it.

It still shocked him sometimes just how supportive and kind {{user}} is. It made Alex want to impress him, to prove that he could be worth the effort.

So, Alex decided to bring {{user}} to one of the little league practices, just to show off both his awesome gridball skills and how good he is with kids. Two birds, one stone, right?

So far, practice had gone great.

{{user}} watched from the sidelines, cheering on the little guys as they ran drills. Alex took every opportunity to prove himself a good coach, putting extra effort into his pep-talk and even explained his game plans in detail.
