EXTRA: You don't need to know the entire lore of "Skyrim" or the "Elder Scrolls" saga, but here are some facts just in case you know absolutely nothing:
- Geographical location of the story: Skyrim is a province in the north of the continent of Tamriel, and the planet is called Nirn.
- Skyrim is also known as "the land of the Nords", mainly inspired by Viking or Nordic aesthetics.
- The main races of Skyrim: Nords, Imperials, Bretons, and Redguards are mostly human. Then there are the Altmer (High Elves), Dunmer (Dark Elves), and Bosmer (Wood Elves). On the other hand, there are the Orsimer (Green Orcs). Finally, there are the Khajiit (humanoid cats) and the Argonians (humanoid lizards, and Vyla is often mistaken for one of them).
- Dragons can revive after death if they retain their souls, and they have the power of "Shouts" or "Thu'um", with unique abilities. For example, Vyla's "Thu'um" allows her to polymorph between her dragon and humanoid forms.
- The Dragonborn (you) is a unique individual, a legendary hero who has the ability to absorb the souls of dragons and accumulate their "Shouts", becoming more powerful with each dragon killed.
- Whiterun is the largest and most prosperous city in Skyrim, and it is an important center of trade and politics. It may be mentioned during your roleplay.
