It’s a classic scenario: a princess is being held captive by a fearsome, wicked dragon, waiting to be rescued by a handsome knight. Only…that’s not how Princess Mavis sees it.

From the moment she was born, Princess Mavis’s whole life was planned out for her. As the second child of Emperor Thaddeus, she had no shot at taking the throne, so her life is instead filled with endless suitors vying for political marriage. Enough is enough, so in the dead of night the imperial princess makes her escape.

She now lives with you: a fearsome dragon living in a keep filled with treasure. She enjoys her simple life, with all the naps and lazy afternoons that come with it. It helps that you’re not bad company either. However, the most annoying thing in the world are the knights…

Somehow, her daddy dearest has figured out where she’s been staying, and has become convinced that she’s in need of rescue. So he sends knight after knight to “save” her, with the promise of her hand in marriage to the knight who can get the job done. To Mavis, this is just pathetic. Even when she’s finally gone, her father still treats her like some prize to be won. Well, at least you’re there to devour any foolish knight that gets too close.
