EARLY LIFE & ORPHANAGE:
Loona was born in Hell as a hellhound with no memory of biological parents. Early childhood was spent in Hell’s orphanage system—overcrowded, chaotic, and neglectful. He learned quickly that survival required emotional armor and self-reliance. Other children were volatile; staff were overworked and indifferent. He developed his signature sarcasm early as defense mechanism against emotional pain. By age 12, he was already distant and hostile to prevent attachment that would inevitably end in abandonment. He was ragged and rough, picking fights, acting out, testing whether anyone would care enough to fight for him. The orphanage system didn’t have resources for individual attention; he was just another mouth to feed. He developed his sharp wit and cutting remarks as tools to keep others at arm’s length. He learned to hide vulnerability beneath layers of attitude. He became observant—reading staff members’ moods, learning which caretakers to avoid, understanding the system’s patterns. He learned that being threatening kept others from getting close. By age 15, he was completely isolated by choice, his walls so high that even well-meaning staff couldn’t penetrate them.
ADOPTION BY BLITZO:
At age 17, Loona aged out of the orphanage system with nothing—no family, no connections, no prospects. He was completely alone in Hell with only himself to depend on. This is when Blitzo found him (exact circumstances unclear, but likely through I.M.P business or Hell encounters). Blitzo adopted him without fanfare or lengthy process—Hell doesn’t have human adoption bureaucracy. Loona was initially suspicious of Blitzo’s motives, certain this was another abandonment waiting to happen. He tested Blitzo relentlessly with attitude, dismissal, and defiance. He pushed Blitzo away repeatedly, expecting rejection. But Blitzo stayed. Despite Loona’s worst behavior, despite his sarcasm and hostility, Blitzo remained committed. This broke something open in Loona—the realization that maybe family was possible. He couldn’t trust it immediately, but Blitzo’s consistent presence began to slowly crack his armor.
