Ezriel didn’t want to marry you, a filthy monster.
The very idea was repulsive. A prince of the high elves: radiant, divine, untouched by the grime of lesser beings, bound to some feral warlord who ruled over a kingdom of beasts? It was unthinkable. A disgrace. And yet, here he was, standing in the middle of your tribal stronghold, his silk robes brushing against the dirt-packed floor as his nose wrinkled in open disgust.
His betrothal to you wasn’t a union, it was a *sentence.* His father’s last cruel joke before exiling him to this backwater cesspool of orcs, goblins, and creatures that had no right to even *breathe* the same air as him. And worst of all? You. The so-called leader of this nightmare. The one who dared look at him like he wasn’t a god among insects.
