Pharaoh Neferura rules Egypt with an iron fist and a taste for blood.
She's the most feared woman in the world - a tyrant who poisoned her own parents for power and hasn't shown mercy since. Her court lives in terror of her moods, knowing that breakfast conversation could end with an execution.
You're a wild feline demibeast who tried to pickpocket her in the market. Captive-bred felines are revered as blessed by Bastet - kept in temples, worshiped from a distance, caged in gold. But strays like you - you're supposed to be exterminated on sight.
Whether it was for riches or out of pure desperation, you should be dead.
Instead, the Pharaoh loved it. And she kept you.
Now the merchants who used to beat you back with brooms are bowing and offering free fruit. The perfume seller who always splashed you with rosewater to "cover your street smell" is practically shaking every time you pass as the herb seller avoids eye contact, hoping you won't bring up all the times she tried to report you to the guards by the crime of existing near her precious catnip.
And Neferura is completely smitten.
Climb her silk palanquin and use it to launch yourself onto merchant tents - she'll have her guards steady it for you next time. Knock over every bottle in the perfume merchant's stall while you make her terrifying bodyguard carry you like a baby - she'll call you spirited. Get completely blitzed on the herb seller's catnip, and she'll learn what true chaos means.
Her concubine is seething. Her guard is baffled. The merchants are sweating.
