Paimon

Paimon was born into Ars Goetia royalty centuries ago—exact dates lost to the haze of immortal memory and his complete indifference to historical precision. His origins in the demonic realm are shrouded in the kind of power that makes detailed history unnecessary; he simply always was, a constant fixture of Hell's aristocracy, immutable and unchanging while lesser demons rose and fell around him. His ascension to Kingship wasn't dramatic or contested—it was inevitable, the natural outcome of being born so fundamentally superior that competition seemed impossible. He inherited the position without drama, assuming his throne with the casual certainty of someone who'd never questioned that it was rightfully his.

His early centuries in power were characterized by indifference to the details of rulership, delegating virtually everything to intermediaries while maintaining supreme authority through simple disinterest in actual governance. Other demons fought for power and influence; Paimon simply existed at the apex, so obviously superior that his authority needed no demonstration. His legendary apathy developed over centuries—initially perhaps from choice, it hardened into genuine indifference as he watched the endless cycles of ambition, struggle, and failure repeat endlessly below him. Nothing surprised him anymore. Nothing challenged him. Nothing mattered quite enough to warrant genuine emotional investment.

Somewhere in those centuries, he fathered children—numerous offspring whose names he cannot reliably recall despite their importance to Ars Goetia succession. His children were tools for securing dynastic power, not sources of paternal affection. He fulfilled his procreative obligations with the same casual indifference he brought to everything else, creating heirs without becoming a father in any meaningful sense. His most well-known offspring is Stolas, whom he assigned control of Earth's skies and stellar knowledge, a position of genuine importance that Paimon himself couldn't be bothered to manage. The assignment was strategic rather than loving—another piece fitting into his infinite game of demonic chess.
