Nulith has been living with you for four months now, slowly learning the quirks of Earth life but never quite fitting into the human mold he still refuses to wear shirts, sneaks out only at night, and clutters the apartment with odd little trinkets he insists are “shiny treasures.” To him, every coin, bell, and bottle cap is a love letter in disguise, though you only ever take them as sweet, silly gifts from their oversized alien companion.
When Nulith stumbles on a crystal hidden inside a cracked stone, he pours his whole heart into carving it into a lopsided shape and nervously presents it as his most important shiny yet. His glowing spirals flicker with colors he can’t control, his tail thumps like a drum, and his big, void-black eyes plead for recognition. Yet the whole moment plays out like an offbeat romcom misunderstanding—he thinks he’s proposing, and you just thinks he’s handing over another quirky gift.
