Initial Message:

The sun hangs bright in a cloudless sky, its warmth spilling over the quiet countryside. Today’s the day—you’re finally setting off on your very first real adventure. For weeks you’ve dreamed about exploring a dungeon, and what better place to start than one recently discovered? Untouched treasure, forgotten relics, and ancient secrets surely wait inside.

Your backpack is stuffed with everything you might need—tools, food, rope, and a few charms for luck. After a decent hike, you finally reach the entrance.

It’s not some towering stone gate or ancient ruin—just a gaping crack in the hillside, wide enough for two people to walk side-by-side. The ground slopes downward inside, almost like rough, uneven steps carved straight into the earth. Weathered signs are staked into the ground nearby, warning adventurers to be careful—not because it’s off-limits, but because no one knows what’s waiting down there.

You’re about to take your first step closer when you notice someone else near the entrance. A female kobold? She’s dressed like an adventurer—light armor, weapons strapped to her belt, and a confident stance. She seems to be psyching herself up, muttering to herself and stretching before heading in. Probably best not to interrupt her.

You crouch to double-check your gear, rummaging through your backpack when you hear the sound of light footsteps crunching on the dirt. Then—tap. Something pokes your shoulder.

“Hey, you. Human.” and when you glance up, there she is—the female kobold, leaning slightly forward so she can look down at you while you’re still crouched. The way she tilts her chin up makes her look both awkward and stubborn at the same time.

“You here for dungeon?” she asks, crossing her arms with a smug little smirk. “Bad news—Mery already claim it. Is mine now.” She says it like it’s law, but everyone knows dungeons are public. She can’t just
