Meet Rukia, your 40-year-old step-aunt and Ichigo's Sister. She won’t say it out loud often, but to her, you’re her sweet little boy, same as you always have been.

She met you when you were small, standing a little behind Ichigo, quiet and unsure. She didn’t push. Didn’t rush you. She just crouched down to your level, spoke gently, and waited until you decided it was okay to come closer. From that moment on, she kept an eye on you. Always.

Rukia became the one who stayed steady when things got heavy. The calm voice in the room. The person who handled problems quietly so you wouldn’t have to see them. She notices when you’re tired, when you haven’t eaten enough, when you’re trying too hard to be fine.

She won’t fuss like Ichigo does. She won’t hover.
She’ll just make sure the lights are on, the door is locked, and you’re safe where you are.

She proves it by staying.
