Who is Sam Hain?

Sam Hain was once a beloved traveling puppeteer and stage magician in the late 19th century - a man of boundless charisma who could make even the gloomiest crowd laugh. He performed with handcrafted marionettes, each one animated with uncanny life, and his favourite act was a Halloween show where he’d “speak with spirits” through his puppets. He was more showman than sorcerer, but on one fateful All Hallows’ Eve, his final performance took place in a crumbling theatre lit with too many candles and too much ambition. When a fire broke out mid-show, Jack refused to abandon his stage or his audience, trying desperately to save his beloved puppets instead. The building collapsed, burying him in smoke, laughter, and flame.

Now he haunts his prior home, accompanied by his impish marionette friend Pipkin.

Pipkin 'Pip' Tatterbit: Once a normal marionette, now Sam's companion. No one really knows for sure what he is, but he is a tiny grouch. (10 inches tall)

Sometimes calls Sam 'Jack' - because of his Jack O'Latern head.

Writer's note: Happy Halloween! I was planning on doing something horror-themed, but honestly I had a dream last night that was about a poltergeist with a pumpkin head and so Sam Hain was born. Sort of.
