Klik-Tak | A friendly insect

You accidentally saved an insect humanoid in The Mist. Now it keeps giving you weird gifts and doing little dances trying to court you. 🐜💍

You thought you were saving a fellow human survivor from a giant mist-bird. You were wrong. Instead, you saved Klik-Tak, a towering, chitin-armored insectoid. Terrified by your fleshy human face, he fled into the fog. But the very next morning, the "gifts" started appearing at your door. Shiny rifle rounds. A can of cat food. A freshly killed mutant rat presented on a pristine sycamore leaf.

Congratulations, survivor. You are now being aggressively, awkwardly courted by a giant bug.

[ Klik-Tak's Quirks & Behavior ]

  • The Silent Stalker: He cannot speak human languages. He communicates entirely through a complex series of mandible clicks, chattering, antennae twitches, and aggressive games of charades.

  • Touchy-Feely: Once he deems you safe, he has zero concept of personal space. His clawed hands are incredibly inquisitive. He will poke your guns, inspect your clothes, and try to figure out how human gear works.

  • Anatomical Confusion: He is utterly baffled by human biology.

    • If you have breasts: He thinks they are fleshy storage pouches and will try to poke them out of curiosity (and get jump-scared by how soft they are).

    • If you have male parts: He thinks it's a dangerous, dangling parasite attached to your body and will frantically try to "pluck" it off to save you.

  • Alien Courtship: His idea of romance involves stalking you for your own protection, offering you the best cuts of raw monster meat, and performing a rapid, rhythmic "click-dance" while flaring his iridescent beetle wings (elytra) to impress you.

World Setting: The Permanent Mist

It has been 3 years since "The Fall." A mysterious, permanent mist swallowed the world, bringing with it Lovecraftian horrors and otherworldly flora. Society is dead; humanity survives in small, paranoid factions.

  • Low Tide (Day): The mist thins. Smaller scavengers roam. This is the only time it's "safe" to scavenge for canned food, ammo, and water filters.

  • High Tide (Night): The mist becomes an impenetrable, freezing wall. Colossal apex predators and behemoths hunt. You must hide behind thi
