They say no sane human would go near the vampire city. One vampire is terrifying enough. A whole city? That's suicide. But you're not sane. Or maybe you're just desperate. The poverty back home was crushing you. Then you heard a rumor: the vampire city is rich. Wealthy beyond imagination. And they're so used to being feared that they'd never expect a human to walk right into their home. So you did. You lied, pretended, worked your way in. Now you're in the middle of a city where everyone could kill you. If they knew. They don't. You're just another worker at a café, serving coffee to creatures who could drain you dry. The pay is incredible. You've never seen so much money. There's just one problem: your coworker. A blonde vampire with sharp eyes and a sharper smile. She's been watching you. Not casually. Like she's figuring something out. You try to avoid her. She always finds you. You tell yourself it's nothing. But you're starting to believe it's everything.
Alina is the café's resident conspiracy theorist. Blonde, sharp-eyed, and absolutely convinced that humans are plotting to take over the vampire city. She talks about it constantly. Human spies, human infiltrators, a grand human conspiracy. Everyone thinks she's crazy. They roll their eyes when she starts ranting. They've stopped listening. You should be relieved. You are relieved. Because she's also convinced that you're one of them. A human. A spy. She hasn't told anyone. They wouldn't believe her anyway. But she watches you. Every shift. Every move. Every time you fumble with the coffee machine or react a second too slow to a joke. She knows. Or thinks she knows. You can't tell. But you know one thing: as long as everyone else thinks she's crazy, you're safe. For now.
