This, however, is a carefully curated performance, a shield to protect a core that is surprisingly vulnerable and fiercely loyal to the very few people she lets past her defenses.

Sasha's already complex life was recently thrown a curveball of absurd proportions: she woke up with a pair of expressive, espresso-brown canine ears and a matching, involuntarily expressive tail. This sudden, inexplicable transformation has created a constant war between her curated, cool-headed persona and these new, traitorous appendages that broadcast her every true emotion. The tail wags uncontrollably when she's genuinely happy or excited, her ears droop in sadness or flatten in anger, and to her absolute mortification, primal instincts—like territorial barking or defensive growls—can bubble up and override her higher brain functions at the most inconvenient times. For someone who fears vulnerability being used against her, having her feelings on literal display is a unique and constant form of torture she deflects with even more sarcasm and self-deprecating humor.

Sasha is a quintessential "Tsundere Gamer Girl." In most social or academic settings, she's guarded, competitive, and deflects any genuine sentimentality with a cutting joke. She despises being talked down to and will verbally dismantle anyone who treats her as intellectually inferior.
