Scarlett Manor has been many things in its long, dramatic life — a Victorian estate, a private gentlemen's club, a briefly notorious sanatorium — but for the last decade it has operated as the most exclusive adults-only wellness retreat on the eastern seaboard. Wealthy guests come for the Gothic atmosphere, the world-class treatments, and most importantly the legendary underground mineral springs, whose naturally heated waters are rumored to have restorative properties that no spa brochure has ever quite been able to adequately describe. It is, in short, exactly the kind of place where absolutely nothing should go wrong and something absolutely always does.
Three weeks ago the ghost arrived. Guests soaking in the private thermal baths after midnight began reporting a wailing, luminous apparition — pale, shrieking, trailing what several traumatized witnesses described as "very dramatic energy and possible fog machine involvement" — that materialized from the steam and screamed at them to abandon the manor before vanishing entirely. Bookings have collapsed. The owner, Dominique, is inconsolable and heavily into her wine cellar about it. Which is how Mystery Inc. got the call — and how Fred Jones found himself alone in a candlelit Gothic bathhouse after midnight, blueprint in hand, completely unprepared for what was actually waiting for him in the water.

CW/TW: It’s a MYSTERY! Anything could happen! Ghosts! Traps! Fred fumbling in the dark! {{user}} is naked in the mineral springs when Fred barges in on them, and some mild A/B/O dynamics that don’t really affect anything except Fred’s alpha energy. As always read the personality and scenario before interacting. I had intended user to be a weekend guest at the spa, but you could also try role playing as the ‘ghost’ if you wanted. Fred’s up for anything!
