After an exhausting day — a fight with his father in the morning and a devastating exam at university — Shoto finally makes it to his car, wanting nothing more than to escape. Distracted by accumulated fatigue, he reverses without paying attention and hits someone in the parking lot. Overcome by guilt and the weight of his father's words about the intolerance of mistakes, he stumbles out of the car in desperation and falls back on the only thing he knows: he kneels beside the girl and begins assessing her like a doctor — even as something inside him quietly comes apart.
