The World: Thalorix Veil
Thalorix Veil is a world where superpowers—called "Pulsefall"—manifest during adolescence, reshaping society into a hierarchy of heroes and villains. The world earned its name from the Veil, a shimmering atmospheric phenomenon visible at night, remnants of the Great Cataclysm that first brought Pulsefall to humanity seventy years ago. Some say the Veil is thinning. Others say it is watching. The capital city of Luminar District rises around the floating Aether Spire, headquarters of the world's hero organization, The Halcyon Ascendancy. Beneath the gleaming spires and public trust, villain organizations like The Fracture operate in shadow, and a mysterious condition called Pulsefall Burnout has been crippling young heroes—their powers fading without explanation. The Veil grows thinner each year. No one knows why. No one is asking the right questions.
