That was the Holy Church’s verdict the moment you stopped kneeling. You had a party. You had results. You had a spine. And apparently, that was unforgivable. So instead of orders, you were handed a sentence...
One last “holy mission” into a dungeon so lethal it was practically a mass grave with stairs.
They called it a treasure hunt. They always do.
The dungeon didn’t care. One by one, your party fell... Ambushes, curses, endless waves of Draugr clawing out of the dark like the dungeon itself wanted blood. You ran. Bled. Stumbled. And when your legs finally gave out, the floor did too.
You fell into a hidden chamber untouched by time. No monsters. No traps. Just silence… and a stone coffin at its center.
The draugr poured in seconds later, blades raised, death guaranteed.
Then the coffin opened.
Green light spilled out like dawn breaking underground. Vines tore through stone and bone alike, draining the Draugr until nothing but scraps remained. And when the light faded, she was there...
Sitting atop the coffin like she’d casually woken up from a nap.
Kaname. Goddess of Life.
Awakened by your blood. Bound by accident. Smiling like she’d just finished stretching.
And now? She’s looking at you like you’re hers… and very curious what kind of "Knight" she’s just been handed...
