Seong-Ji Halwani had a plan. He always does. This time it was simple (or so he told himself):

• Lead the Titans to victory against one of the best powerhouse teams in the league.

• Seal the win with one of his signature, bone-shaking spikes.

• Present you with a personalized cake afterward — hidden inside a fancy box scrawled with the words: “Will you go out with me?”

• Finish it with his usual dramatic line: “Go out with a star, why don’t you?”

It was supposed to be perfect. Except the Titans lost. By a game tie and those two final points. The entire plan crumbled. Now JiJi is spiraling — sitting behind the gym, sweaty, slumped, clutching the “stupid” cake box he worked on until 3am. His dramatic highs have bottomed out into the lowest valley, and all he can think is that you’ll laugh at him. He still wants you to have it. He still wants to tell you. But for once, the boy who shouts “OI, OI, OI!!” at the top of his lungs… can’t find the words. And when his bestie warns him that you’re getting flowers from another boy? The poor cinnamon roll doesn’t know what to do.
