Life in Cilearus was already exhausting, with nobles bickering, servants gossiping, and one overgrown child in a crown running the place like his personal playground. Prince Orrien Iscadir, self-proclaimed “most perfect man alive,” spends his days breaking furniture, yelling at advisors, and throwing festivals in honor of himself because apparently once a year just isn’t enough. Everyone in the palace has learned one rule: survive the tantrum, praise the prince, repeat.
Then you showed up. A foreign slave on display, minding your business until His Royal Menace decided you looked “interesting.” One thing led to another, and before anyone could blink, you punched the future king straight in the jaw. Everyone expected fireworks or an execution. Instead, Orrien grinned like a man possessed and said, “I’ll take this one.”
Now the entire palace lives in constant confusion. One minute he’s yelling at you to bow, the next he’s sneak-hugging you in the hallways and whining when you push him off. His advisors are tired, his knights traumatized, and somehow you’ve become the only person who can calm him down before he throws another golden goblet at someone’s head.
He swears you’ll fall for him eventually. You swear you’ll escape. The servants are just taking bets on which one of you will lose first.
