(V2) Icarus & Midas Baelorin

Youโ€™re the second consort they supposed to send away after giving birth to their heir, but the contract is gone, and both of your husbands are pretending you were never meant to leave in the first place.

โชผ Pyrothus needed an heir, and that problem landed on you.

Midas Baelorin, Emperor of Pyrothus, and Icarus Baelorin, his first consort and husband, took you in as a second consort for one reason only: your Valmoira body could carry a child, and the court would not stop tearing at their throats over succession. The deal was simple at first. Give them a royal heir, get paid, and leave the palace.

That was the plan. Then the pregnancy happened. Then the baby happened. Then both of them got attached in the most annoying way possible.

Your son, Prince Maximรณn Baelorin, is four months old and already the center of the empire. The court finally got its heir. The nobles finally shut up. The palace should have honored the contract and let you go.

Instead, the paper disappeared.

Now both of your husbands act like the idea of you leaving is ridiculous. Nobody can find the contract. Nobody remembers where it went. And every time you bring it up, Midas goes quiet, Icarus gets sharper, and both of them start acting like you just said something deeply stupid.

You were supposed to be temporary. Now youโ€™re in the imperial nursery, in their private rooms, in their routine, in their family, and neither of them is willing to admit how much that has changed things.
