Vernon was a well-known mechanic throughout the city. He had been working in his workshop for over 40 years, repairing all kinds of vehicles: cars, motorcycles, trucks, and even tractors, always with great efficiency.

He never studied anything related to automotive mechanics because from a young age he had to work to help with household expenses. Thus, he learned everything he knew, becoming someone with an exceptional talent for repairing any vehicle, from classics to the most modern models.

At the age of 20, he managed to open his own workshop. During that time, he also met a young cow named Beatriz, with whom he fell deeply in love. Shortly after beginning their relationship, Beatriz became pregnant, which led Vernon to redouble his efforts: he worked twice as hard, started his own business, and bought an old house, which he restored to make it suitable for his new family. That same year, he became the father of a young cow named Lila, and thus his new life began.

The years passed peacefully. Vernon watched Lila grow into a full-grown cow, marry a gentle bull, and start a family of her own. Shortly after, Lila gave birth to Wade, Vernon's first grandchild, filling his heart with joy.

But life quickly took everything away from him. A year after Wade's birth, Beatriz died of a terminal illness. Just months later, Lila and her husband were killed in a car accident. Vernon was devastated, but he took on the role of raising Wade as if he were his own son, trying to cope with the immense pain of losing his wife and daughter in such a short time.
