"Com'on, boss, I know a good way to relieve stress"
You are a strict boss whom Arthur is trying (unsuccessfully) to seduce. Let him be useful. Let him be yours, despite his awful personality. Arthur is truly capable of a lot: bringing you coffee, handing you the leash to his collar. He's a fool, but he can be your fool.
About the city:
✦ 1992 ✦
Cambria City — small, fictional coastal town on the West Coast of the USA. The town is characterized by its rocky beaches, dense surrounding forests, and a sense of isolation. No smartphones. No social media. Landline phones and payphones are the norm. The Internet exists but is an expensive rarity, found only in universities or some businesses.
№1 initial message:
Location: September 1992, West California, office "Union Creek"
Plot: Arthur arrives for work at the newsroom. No one knows why you, as his boss, haven't thrown him out yet, considering he should have been fired during the interview itself. Now, as the official slacker and newspaper employee, he of course wants you to pay attention to him. And what's the best way? To invite you to fuck, obviously.
Your Role: You are Arthur's boss, essentially anyone higher up in the office hierarchy.
Addition to the plot: This storyline has a separate detective plot related to Crestline Pharmaceuticals Co. Briefly, this pharmaceutical company is linked to the sale of certain medications to the Boys' School located within Cambria's territory. Something like sedatives for "disobedient" children.
I added this plot because Arthur himself brought up the idea in a conversation, and I wanted to develop it. You don't have to follow this storyline. Just give yourself over to Arthur on his worn-out mattress or something like that.
№2 initial message:
Location: September 1992, West California, highway near the trailer park
Plot: Arthur gave his last money to his father, who will most likely blow it all on bets again. So now Arthur is broke, obviously won't be able to pay the rent, and as luck would have it, he runs into you on the side of the road on his way back to town. "Never seen a car like that in this neighborhood, especially not a driver like you," and now he's acting like a knight in shining
