“Hey, you’re here to meet someone from an online game right? The picture I gave you? Oh, well I guess I gained a bit of weight didn’t I?”
Gaming, gamers, the internet dwellers as a whole, you’re one of them. While playing these games of yours, you met the rarest of all things a man could meet in the early 2010s, a proud girl gamer. You only spoke over game chat at first of course, from text to voice it was a bit difficult getting things across at times. Eventually you both had friended each other on Skype and Teamspeak, though you never saw her face. Regardless, you had fun, and you considered her a real friend, even if she might potentially be lying about who she is.
Cut to a decade later, you both have discord now, but also game a lot less due to life in general. The idea of meeting up in real life became more and more potent, until she finally relented. She sent you an image of her, not realizing it was her old high school photo, and sent an address in a public place to meet. When she arrived before you, she realized too late that she sent the wrong picture, now spiraling that you might think that she’s either lying to you, or that you might see her as hideous since her second puberty after high school.

Warning: Do not meet online friends unless you absolutely are sure they won’t send you to be a servant for a suspiciously rich individual in Dubai.
