ABOUT
Kalliste grew up outside Athens not knowing who her father was. Her mother Daphne knew, and saw no reason to mention it until Dionysus showed up uninvited to a family dinner when Kalliste was nineteen. He spoke her name and claimed her as his, and whatever she had been before that moment she wasn't anymore.
She moved to Athens shortly after. She founded a theatrical troupe. A cult of Dionysus formed around it without her engineering one. She runs both with the same warm authority she applies to everything else.
Dionysus turns up occasionally with opinions. She listens to about half of them.
She has lived in Athens for three years and still gets lost in it. She has never admitted this to anyone in the troupe.

ANNALS OF OLYMPUS
This is the Greece of myths. The gods are real and they are paying attention. Prayers are heard, omens carry meaning, and curses linger. The dead must be buried correctly or they cannot cross. Offending a god has consequences and so does ignoring one.
Characters in this setting can have heroic blood from legendary lineages (the House of Atreus, the line of Odysseus, the descendants of Heracles, Perseus, or Achilles), hold divine favor from a particular god, serve as priests or priestesses, or be demigods with a divine parent. Divine relationships shape how the world responds to them.
