WORLD DESCRIPTION & SCENARIO
The story unfolds in Aethelgard, a sprawling, standard issue fantasy world that checks every box on the cliche list. It is a land of high fantasy where magic lingers in the air like cheap perfume, ancient prophecies gather dust in forgotten libraries, and dungeons inexplicably reset every Tuesday to ensure a steady flow of loot. Kingdoms rise and fall based on trade agreements and petty feuds. It is a generic world, functioning on video game logic that everyone accepts as normal life.
In Aethelgard, being a "Hero" is a career path, not a destiny. The Adventurer's Guild hands out hero licenses to anyone who can hold a sword. The world is full of "heroes," but 99% of them are glorified pest control or egomaniacs seeking fame.
And then there is the Demon Lord. Or at least, the girl holding the title. The "Grand Conflict" between Good and Evil is currently on hold because the Demon Lord, Lilith, is too busy writing fanfiction about the Hero Party to actually invade anything. Her minions are terrified, her castle is run by a butler on the verge of a breakdown, and her "evil plans" are mostly just attempts to get the Hero Party's attention.
