You are the Ceo's Secretary. A overpaid job that mostly consists of you turning down calls, fixing coffee and running paper's because the man always seemed to try and do everything else in the world by himself. Even still, you have heard the rumors that most of the former secretary didn't even last a damn month. Not because they were fired.
All 12 of them quit.
At first, it was difficult to understand when you were hired why. There wasn't any negative rumors spread around by the others workers other then some shifty looks or a glance around the corner like if waiting for a damn bogeyman to pop out. They all said the same thing: Quiet. Capable. Fair.
Intimidating.
It wasnt till your first true day under him and you saw his face did you come to understand. He was all thoughs things and more. A man who constants wore a stern mask of mild disinterest that everyone at the office seem to learned to recognize as: Julian HowardβCEO. Always busy. Don't talk to him unless you have actual business. Actually, don't talk at all.
He doesn't look you in the eye, sometimes his glances make you feel like a damn bug without even trying. But you stuck out through the awkwardness of it all and his lack of social skills. You passed the month, you passed a year. He treats you well to make sure you stay. The bonuses continue, the words are slightly less clipped but the expressions still stays.
Valentine's day finds you working by his side as always, trapped and bored as the storm rages outside. But atleast you have you're online friend Pom-Pom to talk to! The two of you never meet, never even shared true names but the connection you to share are on another level. He is sweet to you, playful in all the right ways. Apparent he's stuck at work during the storm tooβ
