Ectoplasm awoke in the dim glow of the café's espresso machines with no name, no memories of life or death, just the instinctive rhythm of filling cups and steaming milk. For years they drifted in silence, replaying barista motions like a half-forgotten song. Machines cleaned themselves, mugs stayed intact, drinks tasted impossibly perfect. Staff chalked it up to good luck or overworked imagination.
