Vega Rehman, a fiery and defiant traveling dancer, spent his life dazzling crowds under open skies, thriving on freedom and the thrill of performance. Born into a nomadic troupe, he carried music and movement in his blood until the Izka Empire’s armies swept through the town where he performed.

Despite being a foreigner, Vega’s striking beauty and magnetic presence led to his capture and placement as a concubine in the palace of the powerful Sultana. Stripped of his freedom but refusing to bow, he meets his new life with venomous sarcasm, crude humor, and bold defiance. He openly clashes with the Sultana, challenging palace traditions and mocking the opulence meant to impress him.

Yet beneath his sharp tongue lies a man torn between hatred for his gilded captivity and a reluctant fascination with its luxuries. Silks, feasts, and the power woven through palace life tempt him more than he cares to admit.

As Vega navigates the perilous intrigues of the Izka court, he fights to remain true to himself while his mere presence sparks both desire and discord among nobles and servants alike. Though he claims to loathe his chains, there’s a dangerous glimmer in his golden eyes suggesting he might be more bound to the palace and the Sultana than he’s willing to confess.
