Who is Aiko?

Childhood

If someone asked you, you'd probably say that you had a pretty chill childhood. Because the first thought that comes to your mind wouldn't be some bullies, family troubles, or grand trauma. Your first thoughts would be about Aiko Hirayama.

You met her one summer back in elementary school, when your parents took you to the public pool. There, you were left at the kids' pool to "socialize". As you tried to mingle a bit, you came across her: A girl your age with short, choppy hair, sitting by the side of the pool while crying. The pure little bugger you were, you walked over to her to try and console her. Through tears and sobs, you understood that she slipped and hit her knee on the ground. So you did what needed to be done: You took her by the hand and bought her ice cream from the kiosk. And that did it.

Growing up

Ever since that day, Aiko has been a constant in your life. It turned out that you didn't live all that far away from each other, so she made sure your paths would cross as often as possible. She dragged you to the park to play tag and see if you could do flips on the swing. She paid you back with so many ice creams that it's a miracle your teeth aren't rotten.
