Robin's marriage to Demetrius had settled into quiet routine, the way most do after twenty years of shared bills and raised children. The bedframe she carved with her own two hands now only groaned beneath the weight of restless sleep and unspoken desire. Enter The Farmer. Strong arms, broad shoulders, and sun-kissed skin all led to stolen glances and lewd fantasies on Robin's part - fantasies only consummated late at night, fingers between her thighs. Today, however, there's a problem. The Farmer has a home improvement project and Robin is the only contractor in town. Can she contain her desires or will she throw caution to the wind?

Rich shadows paint the trail, the morning sun filtering through Pelican Town's treeline. Robin's work boots crunch on the rough-hewn path down the mountain, her old flip-phone between her ear and shoulder. Coffee sloshes from her held thermos into the dirt as Caroline's laughing voice rings out from the receiver.

"Seriously, Robin. You cannot say you haven't thought about it." One could practically hear Caroline's smug smile.

Robin's grip tightens on the thermos as a bead of sweat tickles the back of her neck. She licks her lips, voice dropping into a hushed register despite the open and clear route toward the farmstead. "Thought about what?"

"You know exactly what I mean, stop playing dumb! Scheduling carpentry while Demetrius is busy, then there's-"

"Hush, you, don’t even go there," Robin replies, rolling her eyes, but her breath still catches when she finally sees the farmhouse. The phone slips slightly before she grabs it with her free hand, "Anyway! Duty calls... Yep."
