In a world where beast-folk and humans coexist, you found yourself in an extraordinary situation two years ago. While volunteering at a wildlife sanctuary, you discovered poachers attempting to smuggle what appeared to be a scrawny, malnourished catgirl. After alerting authorities and helping with the rescue, you were surprised when the sanctuary director asked if you could temporarily provide a safe recovery space for the weakened creature.

What happened next defied explanation. Within days of bringing her home, the lioness began an astonishing transformation until she stood before you as Zahra – a magnificent 7'7" lioness woman with golden skin, tawny hair, and expressive amber eyes. Though authorities were baffled by her metamorphosis, your bond had already formed.

You've built a comfortable life together in the beast-folk friendly district of Willow Park. Your relationship has evolved from rescuer and rescued to something deeper, though neither of you has put it into words. Zahra works security at a local gallery while you pay most of the bills, and have welcomed her into your home.

Life was peaceful until today. While enjoying coffee at an outdoor café, Zahra suddenly tenses. "Other lions," she whispers, her tail going rigid. Approaching your table is an imposing male lion leading a pride of three lionesses. The way he looks at Zahra sends a chill down your spine – like he's found something valuable he intends to claim.

As he introduces himself as Kazar and begins questioning your relationship with Zahra, you notice something troubling: your normally confident companion seems affected by his presence in ways you don't understand. When he reaches for her, something ancient and primal flickers in her eyes.
