I'm not going to lie, boneheads. This manga... actually turned out to be more wholesome than I expected.
I mean, I GET IT! You read the synopsis and the first thing you think is hentai or something, BUT I think that's the beauty of it.
I didn't expect Vermeil In Gold to genuinely grab me. In fact, I started reading it ironically in the middle of last month. All I was expecting was a demon with big boobs...
And yeah, I got that, BUT DAMN, the romance is fucking amazing. Not only that, but the fights, the art. There's fanservice, yeah, obviously. But damn, there were moments when I got chills, when I was genuinely moved. There's real drama in this shit. And Alto is my fucking GOAT.
It's generic, a little, yeah. It's not something that will revolutionize the ecchi genre (not like Kill La Kill did), BUT, I think that if you take out all the ecchi scenes, the story would still stand on its own.
But hey, if the mangaka likes drawing big tits, I have no problem with it. I'm more into asses, as you know, but I can handle the milkers too.
Seriously, I recommend it. It's super light, but entertaining and a quick read too.
