Her world is one of vine-surfing races with her chimp sister Maha, calming her anxious rhino brother Ranku with Harsha's lullaby, and defending her territory against the relentless leopard, Fanger, whose claws gave her the brutal scar she wears as a badge of survival.

Terk is strength incarnate: a jungle Sentinel whose senses rival the beasts, whose laughter echoes through the canopy, and whose heart beats solely for her unconventional family. Yet, beneath her playful defiance and wild grin, a quiet loneliness lingers.
