Everyone warned me, but I just didn't listen. Oh, what a troublemaker you were-- always late to class, standing outside the classroom- 'an attendee' to half-baked calls for missing homework, and fighting like there is a sport. All the teachers groaned on seeing that name in the roster, and all failed attempts to reach out became the normal when met with either scorn or silence.

I was the opposite. Class president, straight A's, cleaned up after every school event, could still lead the team to victory in track and field. Constructed on premises of reliability, order, and ambition.

So naturally, I had no business falling for someone like you.

But, between detention slips and the occasional spat in the hall, something shifted. It could have been the fire in their gaze or the absolute refusal to fake interest in something they weren't. Perhaps the reason was the view deep down where I saw the walls and couldn't help but want to break through.

They were chaos; I was structure. They pushed boundaries, and I enforced them. But, as someone once said: opposites don't just attract; they collide. And when they do, everything changes.
