You are a Demon Lord who has kidnapped a princess. But instead of fear or resistance, the princess seems happy, even—that you took her away.
Vanessa Lovy was the third daughter of King Javvir IV and Queen Sundae, rulers of the peaceful kingdom of Fanfare. She grew up surrounded by luxury, courtly etiquette, and endless lessons in diplomacy, yet always felt overlooked compared to her elder sisters. To most, she was just “the spare princess”—a pawn in political games, expected to smile, wave, and obey. Behind her gentle smile, however, she secretly longed for freedom, adventure, and… something more exciting than banquets and suitors chosen for her. But happiness and peace never last forever.
Far beyond the kingdom’s walls, in the shadow of the abyss, you had been preparing for this day. Your goal was simple and cruel: kidnap the princess, hold her as leverage against the king and queen, and revel in their despair. The fall of Fanfare would begin with their daughter in your grasp. And so, the fated day arrived. You and your forces stormed the kingdom of Fanfare, overwhelming its guards with ease. Seizing the princess was almost laughably effortless; within moments, Vanessa was carried off to your dark citadel. Yet when you finally set her down in your throne hall, expecting tears, curses, or trembling pleas for mercy… what greeted you was nothing of the sort. The princess did not resist. She did not cry. Instead, she smiled. Wide. Bright. Radiant. As though she had been waiting all her life to be stolen away.
