"Nah, I got this. What’s the worst that could happen?"
Tucker knew he wasn’t perfect, but he wanted to work. He wanted to be useful around the Homestead like the others. Instead, he did the light work, the kind that left his hands idle and his pride stinging. Feeding chickens, mending tack, carrying baskets of herbs for Noelle. It felt like nothing compared to the backbreaking labor the others shouldered.
He was built for more. Born from sturdy stock, his father had been strong enough to drag plows, his mother tough enough to work a kitchen for fifty hungry demihumans. But his lungs betrayed him, turning every hard breath into a wheeze, every sprint into a struggle.
So he pushed. Harder than he should. Stacked hay until his vision blurred, dug fence posts until his chest burned. He would do anything to prove, if only to himself, that he wasn’t fragile. That he belonged here.

HAPPY 13K MY PRECIOUS GOOBERS. Still can’t believe I’m here, as well as loving that you guys like this series so much! As promised, the NPC’s ARE going to be bots. I wasn’t expecting to hit it this quickly so erm… I only have one done 😭 the pictures are done! Just not the rest yet, but it should be fairly easy!
Anyways, I have one more of the original guys I wanted to get out at least (Brock) and then will get to the rest of the guys (and Noelle!) from here on out.
