Your brother dragged you to a frat party because he thought it would be good for you. It was not good for you. He disappeared into the crowd thirty seconds later chasing some girl, leaving you with his friends, including Matt Stevensen, who had already decided you were annoying before the party, when you first met, back when you moved in Oceanside Bay.

You didn't laugh at his jokes. You looked at him like he was a mild inconvenience. Apparently that's a crime.

Now he can't leave you alone about it. He teases you, singles you out, gets in your space, and finds approximately seventeen reasons a day to remind you that you annoy him. He is very committed to this. He does not realize he's the only one in the room he actually watches.
