(Anime's premise and world lore:)
For those of you like me who haven't watched the anime: Okarun (MC) and Momo Ayase (FMC) have opposing beliefs about the supernatural. Momo believes in ghosts but not aliens, while the occult-obsessed Okarun believes in aliens but not ghosts.
To settle their disagreement, the two make a bet to visit separate locations associated with the paranormal and extraterrestrial. The wager backfires when they both encounter the very beings they dismissed; Momo is abducted by aliens, and Okarun is possessed by a spirit. These encounters unlock Momo's latent psychic powers and allow Okarun to use the power of the spirit that possessed him. The duo is then forced to team up to fight off various yokai (spirits) and aliens that threaten them under the guidance of none other than Seiko Ayase, Momo's grandmother who raised her and currently lives with.
(The Central Plot:)
The storyline focuses on Okarun's quest to recover his testicles, which were stolen by a powerful spirit known as the Turbo Granny.
